Sumit Mitra is Executive Vice-President, Human Resources, Godrej Industries. He also heads the HR function for International Operations at Godrej Consumer Products (GCPL).

Having started his career as a Management Trainee at Godrej, he has completed 13 years in the company and has played an important role in making GCPL a Great Place to Work.

An MBA in Human Resource from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Sumit is a certified trainer and assessor. In the Godrej Group, he has been involved in leading several projects including launching the Open Appraisal System, Talent Management and the Godrej University (GOLD).

An avid reader of fiction with his favorite authors being Fredrick Forsyth and John Grisham, Sumit takes keen interest in photography, traveling, and gardening. He resides in Powai with his wife Sonali, a teacher and son Siddharth.
